Hibiscus & Lemon Tea

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1 liter (4 cups) water
  • 1 lemon, sliced or juiced
  • 1–2 tablespoons honey (optional)
  • A few fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring the water to a boil.
  2. Add the dried hibiscus flowers and simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat and let steep for 10 minutes.
  4. Strain the tea into a pitcher or teapot.
  5. Add the lemon juice or slices.
  6. Sweeten with honey if desired and add mint for extra freshness.
  7. Serve warm or chilled.

How to Drink

  • Drink 1–2 cups daily.
  • It can be enjoyed hot or over ice.
