Ingredients
- 1 medium piece of fresh ginger (about 2 inches / 5 cm), sliced
- 2 tablespoons whole cloves
- 1 handful of fresh mint leaves
- 1 liter (4 cups) of water
- 1–2 tablespoons honey (optional)
- Juice of ½ lemon (optional)
Instructions
- Wash the ginger and slice it thinly.
- Bring the water to a gentle boil.
- Add the ginger and cloves, then simmer for 10–15 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and add the fresh mint leaves.
- Cover and let steep for another 5–10 minutes.
- Strain the infusion into a bottle or pitcher.
- Add honey and lemon juice if desired.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
How to Drink
- Enjoy 1 cup (240 ml) once or twice a day.
