Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons dried hibiscus flowers
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns (or allspice berries)
- 2 cups (500 ml) water
- 1 tablespoon raw honey (optional, added after brewing)
Instructions
- Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan.
- Add the dried hibiscus flowers, cinnamon sticks, and black peppercorns.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 8–10 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and let the tea steep for another 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a cup or pitcher.
- Allow it to cool slightly before stirring in the honey.
- Serve warm, or chill and serve over ice.
