A Refreshing Herbal Drink with a Warm Spiced Flavor
Ingredients
2 cups water (500 ml)
2 tablespoons dried hibiscus flowers
2 bay leaves
1 cinnamon stick
1–2 teaspoons honey (optional)
Ice cubes (optional, for serving chilled)
Lemon slices (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan.
Add the dried hibiscus flowers, bay leaves, and cinnamon stick.
Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 8–10 minutes.
Remove from the heat and allow it to steep for another 5 minutes.
Strain the tea into a pitcher or cup.
Sweeten with honey if desired and stir well.
Serve warm, or let it cool and pour over ice for a refreshing cold drink. Garnish with a lemon slice if you like.
