Kidney-Friendly Herbal Tea

Kidney-Friendly Herbal Tea

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (500 ml) water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2–3 thin slices fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (add after brewing)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring the water to a gentle boil.
  2. Add the parsley and ginger.
  3. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
  4. Remove from the heat and let steep for another 5 minutes.
  5. Strain into a cup.
  6. Stir in the lemon juice and honey, if desired.
  7. Enjoy warm once daily.

Tips

  • Stay well hydrated throughout the day unless your doctor has advised you to limit fluids.
  • Reduce excess salt and highly processed foods.
  • If you have chronic kidney disease, kidney stones, or take medications, check with your healthcare provider before using parsley or ginger regularly.
