Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons dried hibiscus flowers
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger, sliced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
- 1–2 teaspoons honey (optional, add after cooling slightly)
Instructions
- Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan.
- Add the dried hibiscus flowers and sliced ginger.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 8–10 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and let steep for another 5 minutes.
- Strain into a cup or pitcher.
- Stir in the lemon juice and honey if desired.
- Serve warm or chill and pour over ice.
