Slow Cooker Honey Cinnamon Apple Pork Chops

🍎 Slow Cooker Honey Cinnamon Apple Pork Chops
Ingredients
4 bone-in pork chops
3–4 apples, thinly sliced
1/3 cup honey
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup apple juice or chicken broth
1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
Prepare the pork chops: Pat the pork chops dry and season both sides with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Prepare the apples: Wash and thinly slice the apples. You can leave the peel on for extra color and texture.
Layer the slow cooker: Place some of the sliced apples in the bottom of the slow cooker. Arrange the pork chops on top, then cover them with the remaining apples.
Add the cinnamon: Sprinkle the ground cinnamon evenly over the apples and pork chops.
Add the honey: Drizzle the honey over everything.
Add the liquid: Pour the apple juice or chicken broth around the sides of the slow cooker. Add the butter on top.
Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours, or until the pork reaches a safe internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Finish: Carefully remove the pork chops and spoon the tender cinnamon-honey apples and cooking juices over the top.
🍯 Serving
Serve the pork chops hot with plenty of the caramelized apples and honey sauce. Mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables make great side dishes.
Tip: For a thicker, richer sauce, transfer some of the cooking liquid to a saucepan and simmer it for a few minutes until slightly reduced.
