  • 3 cups (375 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons instant dry yeast
  • 1 cup (240 ml) warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • Extra butter for brushing

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
  2. Add the warm milk and olive oil, then mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover the bowl with a clean towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Mix the melted butter with the minced garlic, chopped parsley, and oregano.
  6. Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and shape each into a small round flatbread about ½ inch (1 cm) thick.
  7. Brush both sides lightly with the garlic herb butter.
  8. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat and cook each bread for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Brush with a little more garlic butter immediately after cooking for extra flavor.
  10. Serve warm with soups, salads, grilled meats, or your favorite dipping sauce.
