Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 ml) water
- 5–6 whole cloves
- 1 small cinnamon stick (optional)
- 1 thin slice of fresh ginger (optional)
- 1 tsp honey (optional, add after brewing)
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice (optional)
Instructions
- Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan.
- Add the cloves, and if using, the cinnamon stick and ginger.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 8–10 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and let the tea steep for another 5 minutes.
- Strain into a cup.
- Stir in honey and lemon juice if desired, then serve warm.
